Oregon Appraisers Coalition This section is devoted
to hosting materials of interest to the Oregon Appraisers
Coalition until the completion of its own website at:
http://www.oregonappraisers.net
The Oregon Appraisers Coalition urges you to contact
your State legislators, candidates for elective State
office, and the executive branch of State government as
soon as possible so that we appraisers may be heard about
how our own profession should be regulated!
The documents below are Microsoft Word files. If you
have difficulty downloading or opening them, please contact
Tawfik Ahdab at 541-302-6395
or e-mail tawfik@pvg.net
The document of greatest importance is the sample opposition
letter. It provides a template for registering your opposition
to the reduction of the Appraiser Certification and Licensure
Board to an advisory body from a policy-making body, with
resultant loss of appraisers' control over the regulation
of their own profession. There are numerous organizations
being brought together in opposition to this dangerous
and misguided proposed legislative concept.
Another attached document is a list of State candidates
for office representing the Lane County area, to which
are appended the names, addresses, and e-mail addresses
of the Governor's office, the Governor's assistant, and
the head of Department of Consumer and Business Affairs.
A list of current State legislators representing the
Lane County area will be forthcoming. Please bookmark
this site for future updates and annoucements until the
Oregon Appraisers Coalition's own website is up and running.
